Transfer Your Account to Another Teacher (Teacher)

Are you retiring? Are you teaching another subject? If you currently have a teacher account but won't be managing that class any longer, you can transfer ownership to the teacher taking over.

Let’s get started.

Step 1: Log in to your Teacher Portal HERE.

Step 2: Hover over your name on the top right corner and click “Account.”

Step 3: Under email, delete your email address and enter the email address of the new teacher. Then click "Update Personal Info". 

Pro-Tip: If you cannot see the email field to change your email address, that means that you signed up with Google, Clever, ClassLink, or Microsoft Teams. If that's the case, you can submit a request to remove the SSO at support@typing.com
NOTE: If the new teacher already has a teacher account, we'll need a third email address because there can't be two teacher accounts with the same email. Another option is to delete the account that the other teacher currently has. Let us know in your email. 

Step 4: Click on "Change your password". Make sure to change the password to something generic.

Remember to notify the new teacher of the generic password so they can log in later with their email and change it as soon as s/he logs in for the first time.
