Remove Students From Your Class Without Deleting Them (Teacher)

Looking to clean up your class roster without deleting student accounts and their progress? You can easily unlink students from your class, allowing them to join another class without losing their hard-earned progress. This process is simple and ensures that students can continue their learning journey smoothly. Let's walk through the steps!


Step 1: Log in to your Teacher Portal HERE.

Step 2: Click on “Classes.”

Step 3: Select the class containing the student(s) you want to unlink.

Pro-Tip: You can also locate an individual student using the search bar.

Step 4: Inside the class page, click on the 'Students' tab to access the class roster.

Step 5: Select the student(s) by clicking the checkbox next to their name. To select all students, click the white box to the left of "Student" title below the “Bulk Actions” button.

Step 6: Click on "Bulk Actions" and select "Unlink" from the dropdown menu.

Step 7: A dialog box will pop up asking you to confirm your decision to unlink students. Enter the word “CONFIRM” and click “Unlink Students.”

That's it! Now you know how to unlink students from your class without deleting their accounts or progress. This allows students to seamlessly transition to new classes and continue their learning adventure. 😄
