One of my students already has an account. How can he join my class?

If one of your students already has a Typing.com account and needs to join your class, we’ve got an easy solution for you:

  1. Use a Join Link: The simplest way for a student to join your class is by using a join link. Follow the steps in this article to create and share the join link with your student.
  2. Syncing with External Platforms: If you don’t see the option to use a join link, it’s likely because your classes are synced via Google Classroom, Clever, Microsoft Teams, or ClassLink. Here’s what to do:
    • Using Clever or ClassLink:
      • Contact Your Data Manager: Ask the person in charge of sharing data with Typing.com to add the student to the class.
      • Re-sync Overnight: After the student is added, your account will re-sync overnight, and the student will be added to your class.
    • Using Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, or Clever Library:
        • Google Classroom: Add the student directly in Google Classroom.
        • Microsoft Teams: Add the student directly in Microsoft Teams.
        • Clever Library: Add the student directly in Clever Library.
      • Re-sync Your Account: Go to the 'Classes' tab and click "Sync with Classroom/Clever/Microsoft" to update your Typing.com classes.

That’s it! Your student will be successfully added to your class. If you need any further assistance, our support team is always here to help. Happy teaching!
