My Class Doesn’t Have a Join Code

  1. Syncing with External Platforms: If your classes are synced via Google Classroom, Clever, Microsoft Teams, or ClassLink, join codes won’t be available. Here’s what to do:
    • Clever or ClassLink: Add, remove, or move students in Clever or ClassLink first. Your Typing.com account will re-sync overnight to reflect these changes.
    • Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams: Make changes in Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams first. Then, re-sync your Typing.com account by going to 'My Classes' and clicking 'Sync with Classroom/Clever/Microsoft.'
  2. Regular Login Accounts: If you use a regular login account (username/password), the class’s self-join link is disabled when the self-join code field is blank in your class settings. Ensure the self-join code field is filled in to enable the link.
