One of my students speaks Spanish. How can I change the language on his/her account?
We want to make sure every student feels included and comfortable while learning. If one of your students speaks Spanish, here’s how you can change their account language settings to Spanish:
Note: To change the curriculum for an individual student, you need a PLUS membership account. Free accounts can change the curriculum, but only at the class level.
Step 1: Log in to your Teacher Portal HERE.
Step 2: Click on “Classes.”
Step 3: Choose the class containing the student whose language curriculum you want to change.
Pro-tip: Use the search bar at the top of the page and type the student’s name to quickly locate them.
Step 4: Inside the class page, click on the 'Students' tab to access the class roster.
Step 5: Hover over the student's name to highlight it and click on the 'Edit Icon' (pencil symbol) on the right-hand side.
Step 6: A pop-up window will appear with the student settings. In the 'Curriculum' field, select 'Legacy - Español' from the dropdown menu.
Step 7: Click "Save All Changes."
You’ll notice a green symbol with an exclamation point next to the student’s name. This indicates that the student's settings are different from the rest of the class.
And that’s it! You’ve successfully changed the curriculum to Spanish for your student. Way to be inclusive and supportive!
If you need any further assistance, our support team is always here to help. Happy teaching!
