Move Students to Another Class (Teacher)

Whether a student joined the wrong classroom by accident or you've decided to transfer them to another of your classes, moving students within your Typing.com classes is a breeze. Follow these simple steps to ensure a smooth transition for your students.


Pro-Tips

  • If you're syncing your classes via Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams, move the students in those platforms first, then re-sync your Typing.com account.
  • If you're syncing your classes via Clever or ClassLink, move the students in those platforms first, then wait for the account to re-sync overnight to see the changes in your Typing.com teacher account.

Step 1: Log in to your Teacher Portal HERE.

Step 2: Click on “Classes”

Step 3: Choose the class containing the student(s) you want to move.

Pro-tip: Use the search bar at the top of the page and type the student’s name to quickly locate them..


Step 4: Inside the class page, click on the 'Students' tab to access the class roster.

Step 5: Select the student(s) by clicking the checkbox next to their name. To select all students, click the white box to the left of "Student" title below the “Bulk Actions” button.


Step 6: Click on "Bulk Actions" and select "Move Students" from the dropdown menu.

Step 7: Select the class you want to move the student(s) to and click OK.
