The Test Prep Unit feature on Typing.com is designed to help your students excel. This guide will clarify the requirements to access the Test Prep Unit and show you how to check and change your class curriculum if needed.

Test Prep Unit Requirements

The Typing.com Test Prep Unit is available for grades 2-8 and is accessible to PLUS users only. If you are a PLUS user and your students can’t access the Test Prep Unit, it’s likely due to the class curriculum not being set to the required grade range. Remember, the class curriculum must not be set to "Legacy" to access this feature.

Checking and Changing Class Curriculum

To check the current curriculum for your class, navigate to the assigned class in your Teacher Portal. Once there, click on "Edit" to view the assigned grade range. If you find that the grade range does not fall within the 2nd to 8th grade spectrum, you’ll need to make a change.

Changing the class curriculum is straightforward. In the class settings, click on "Edit" and select the appropriate grade range from the available options. After selecting the new grade range, make sure to save your changes. This adjustment will allow your students to access the Test Prep Unit and take advantage of its resources.
