Set Grading for your Classes

Welcome to the guide on setting grading for your Typing.com classes! This feature, available exclusively with a PLUS account, allows you to customize grading criteria to suit your teaching needs. Follow these steps to efficiently manage and track your students' progress.

NOTE: This feature is PLUS exclusive.


Step 1: Log in to your Teacher Portal HERE.

Step 2: Click on “Classes.”

Step 3: Hover over the class you want to edit and click the gear icon on the right side.

Step 4: Click on the “Grading” tab.

Step 5: In the grading section, choose the grade type: either letter grade or points. Decide whether you want to grade your students on typing speed or accuracy.

Step 6: Next, enter in your grading criteria. You can customize the grading scale to match your requirements.

Pro-Tip: Exclude specific grades by clicking on the red X next to the grade.

Step 7: Click "Save All Changes."


Pro-Tip: Once students complete a lesson (not just a screen), they’ll receive a grade, which you can view in the reports. These results can be exported and imported into your preferred grading software.
