Invite Teachers to My School/District

Pro-Tip: To add a co-teacher to your class, you must have a School or District Account. If you're rostering through Clever or Classlink, you need to make the changes with those providers and wait for the account to re-sync (overnight).

-Often teachers will create accounts that do not allow them to be added to classes.
-To check that the teacher account can be added to a class, first confirm that the teacher you would like to add has a Typing.com account.
-If you know that the teacher has a Typing.com account but still cannot add him, it may be because they have the wrong type of account, such as a school or district account.  Click  here  to learn more about converting a teacher account type.
-To be able to invite the teacher, the account type can only be a “teacher” account.
-Once you have confirmed the teacher has a “teacher” Typing.com account, then you may invite them to your class through the teacher portal.
-If you need to convert your account, follow these steps.

Let's get started.

If you have a school account:

1) Access your account here.

2) Go to 'My School'.

3) Click "Invite New Teacher"  <> Note: the teachers must have existing teacher accounts before you send them an invitation to join your organization. If they don't have a teacher account yet, they can create one here.

4) The teacher that you invited needs to access his/her account to accept the invitation.

If you have a district account:

1) Access your account here.

2) Go to District > Schools > click on a school.

3) Click  Invite New Teacher <> Note: the teachers must have existing teacher accounts before you send them an invitation to join your organization. If they don't have a teacher account yet, they can create one here.

4) The teacher that you invited needs to access his/her account to accept the invitation.
